I’m still maintaining a two-chapters-per-week pace at the moment, to my amazement… and now I’m starting to see the “light” at the end of the tunnel. I definitely won’t be done by the 20th anniversary of the first chapter’s launch… but this story has taken a number of surprising turns along the way that I never could have anticipated. Somehow, when a tiny bit character named “Tomlin” first appeared in the story, everything changed… and next thing I knew, my heroines were getting immersed in unexpected intrigue and a culture that I’m honestly fascinated with. Plus a little crustacean crawled out of nowhere and took over.
These things happen…
It’s looking like there are another 10-15 chapters to go before we return to the “frame story” and Riddick reappears in the “flesh.” But there are some wild twists ahead and my Jack Muse is not happy with me about them… hopefully she won’t start holding chapters hostage to try to get me to rethink the plot, though!
